I.C.A.R.Y ARTIST FELLOWSHIP
ABOUT US
Turning Interest Into Action
Here at the Impactful Changes for Aspiring Youth Artist Fellowship (I.C.A.R.Y.), we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world and impact the youth of today is a little support. Since our founding in 2021, we have been determined to make an impact on the lives of others by inspiring younger generations around the importance of self-expression through the arts. The second part of our mission is to educate our children about the fundamentals of photography and the history it holds in the African American/Black culture. Through the model of expression through photography, we hope to highlight the personality and life aspirations of young people of color.
OUR MISSION
Committed to the Cause
With the I.C.A.R.Y. Artist Fellowship, we seek to help youth achieve these goals: Obtain, Create, Explore, Gain. The core of our efforts is to cultivate fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in.
Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs and make impactful changes for aspiring youth.
The benefits to the artist fellowship are exciting and important. They include learning from and working with the prolific photographer, Kenyatta Crisp, of Crisp Photography LTD, and other collaborators in the art community. In addition, all young artist will be provided photography materials to complete projects that will help them build their artist portfolios. At the end of the program, all students will receive a stipend.
